LULAC adding chapters in Moline, Muscatine

Two new League of United Latin American Citizens councils will be established to serve the growing Hispanic population across Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa.

The new LULAC chapters in Moline and Muscatine will be hosted starting March 1 by Casa Guanajuato Quad Cities and the Muscatine Center for Nonprofits. The formation of each council will be guided by LULAC Council 10, Davenport, according to a Casa news release.

Once established, the Moline and Muscatine councils will partner with Council 10 to advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health and civil rights of the Hispanic population across the Quad Cities region, according to the release.
