DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR PHOTOS ARE?

The Quad-Cities Computer Society is pleased to announce a special program to help people manage and edit the photos on their computer using a free program from Google. The speakers, known internationally as "Geeks on Tour" are considered experts on the use of Picasa, a widely popular photo editor. Even Google looks to them for providing the best training on the program.

Picasa is Google's free download and it is simply the best way to manage the enormous amount of photos now taken with digital cameras! It's *fast*, it's *easy*, and it's *free*. Find pictures you had forgotten about with Picasa's 'Library View' and Search capabilities. You'll learn from the experts at Geeks on Tour and you'll be surprised how simple it is to make all your photos look better.

For this special QCS meeting, we delve deep into file management with Picasa.

· How to avoid duplicate files

· How to keep your pictures on an external hard drive instead of your C drive

· How to use the left sidebar with its collections, folders, albums, and people.

There will also be plenty of time for questions.

WHEN: Tuesday, September 6th, 2011 6:00-8:30 PM

WHERE: Library of the Butterworth Center, 1105-8th Street, Moline, Illinois

WHO: Who are GEEKS ON TOUR?

Jim and Chris Guld are living their dream. In 2003, they sold their home to live in their RV full time, traveling the USA from coast to coast exploring each area they visit and meeting new friends. Both Jim and Chris had careers in the computer industry before taking to the road so they took their love for computers with them dubbing themselves "Geeks on Tour". They present seminars to other travelers at RV Rallies and have a subscription website with tutorials on many subjects. Their focus is on things travelers use most, such as GPS mapping and trip planning, editing and organizing the thousands of photos they take as they travel and keeping a travelogue of their adventures with an online Blog.

The Quad-Cities Computer Society is a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping educate the public on personal computers and their uses.
