The Effective Job Search Workshop

Press release submitted by Charlotte Rashid As you know, with the economy the way it is, many people in our community have found themselves unemployed or underemployed and they are not sure what to do or where to turn. As a result the United Way and the Eastern Iowa Community College District Foundation have provided funding for a series of job seeking skills workshops to be offered to the public at no cost. The first one will be held Monday through Friday, December 7th through December 11th, from 9 am to 3 pm, at the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency, 729 21st Street, Bettendorf, Iowa. Would you be willing to help spread the word in your newspapers and on your website? I will attach a flyer for you to look at and will write a small blurb you could use if you would like to. If you have any questions or need further information, please call me at 336-3471. The Effective Job Search Workshop Not getting the results you want in your job search? The job market has been changing and the job search process has been changing too. It's not your father's job market anymore. If you want to develop the job search skills you will need to succeed in today's challenging job market, attend the Effective Job Search Workshop. The workshop will run Monday through Friday, December 7th through December 11th, from 9 am to 3 pm, at the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency, 729 21st Street, Bettendorf, Iowa. You will learn all the steps that make up a successful job search from identifying potential employers to marketing yourself with your resume and in the interview.
