Press release submitted by University of Illinois Extension.

MILAN -- 4-H is the youth development program of University of Illinois Extension. Youth from High Cliff Estates in Milan have been attending a special interest 4-H club for the past six weeks. Special interest clubs are designed to give young people information about a particular subject. These individuals participate in a 4-H special-interest group that studies just that subject -- for example, a group that studies nutrition, model rocketry, or childcare. The clubs run by University of Illinois Extension EFNEP staff have a sole focus on nutrition. A group consists of five or more members, who meet six or more times, and who follow a predetermined educational program. Exhibit opportunities give the 4-H members a chance to showcase their knowledge through their projects and conference judging.

On Dec. 2, youth from High Cliff Estates will gather at 1701 E 2nd St., Milan to showcase their 4-H knowledge and experiences. 4-H'ers will exhibit Cooking 101 Nutrition Projects beginning at 3 p.m. The community is welcome to attend.
