Genesis Lights Remembrance Trees in Davenport, Clinton to benefit Hospice Care

Press release submitted by Craig Cooper, media relations coordinator, corporate communications and marketing, Genesis Health System DAVENPORT -- The Genesis Remembrance Trees in Davenport and Clinton during the the upcoming holiday season will celebrate the memories of loved ones and focus attention on the continuing need of hospice care in the region. The Genesis Remembrance Tree at the Clinton County Courthouse will be illuminated on Tuesday, Nov. 17. The Remembrance Tree in Davenport will be lit in a ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 18 in Bechtel Park at River Drive and Iowa Street. Both ceremonies will begin at 6 p.m. Individual "light" sponsors are invited to make a donation in any amount in the name of a loved one. All proceeds will benefit Genesis Hospice Care. Genesis will maintain a Book of Names throughout the holiday season. This book is dedicated to the memory of family and friends no longer with us. Names and donations received by Nov. 17 will help light the tree and will be included in the 2009 Book Of Names. Donations and names received by Nov. 10 will be displayed on Remembrance Tree banner that will be displayed at the Davenport Remembrance Tree.
