Description: Davenport Shooting Association traces it roots to 1854, when a number of German immigrants formed a club for rifle practice. This program explores the history of the club. Sign up for our Scherenschnitte (art of paper cutting) Workshop. As a tradition, German immigrants enjoyed making paper cuttings for Christmas ornaments and decorations. Zither Ensemble, Every Saturday except holidays Enjoy a watching and listening to our National Zither Ensemble practice and perform every Saturday at 10 am on the fourth floor of the museum.
