Weller-Bernier Engagement
Heidi is a native of Wilmette, Ill., and a graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor"s degree with a double major in English and political science. She graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law, J.D., with highest honors. Since 1996, she has been employed as an assistant"s state"s attorney with the Rock Island County State"s Attorney"s office, Rock Island. She is the daughter of Patricia and the late Ronald Weller, Niles, Ill. Ty is a Geneseo native and past editor of The Dispatch, Geneseo Republic and Cambridge Chronicle newspapers. He is author of a collection of essays titled "OddysSeays," printed through his publishing company, Best Foot Forward. A second book, "Blank," is due to be released early next year. He has a bachelor"s degree in journalism from the former Teikyo Marycrest University, Davenport, and is completing the fifth year of an apprenticeship program with United Association Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 25, Rock Island. He is employed as an HVAC pipefitter service mechanic with Johnson Controls, Moline. He is the son of Kathy and David Bernier, Davenport, and Kay and Ned Richardson, Galva.
