Leonard Zinger, Davenport, will be honored on Sunday, Nov. 8, to celebrate his 90th birthday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport.

Leonard Louis Zinger was born Nov. 9, 1919. His brother and sister are Donald Zinger and Mildred Conklin. In 1941, he married Sadie Jabour.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was the owner/operator of Cradle Diaper Service for 32 years. He then worked 17 years for Davenport Community Schools, retiring in 1989.

He has been a member of Local 67 Federation of American Musicians for 70 years.

His children are Leonard Louis Zinger Jr., deceased; Lynda Kuehn (Bill Cardiff), Davenport; Thomas and Orba Zinger, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Michael Zinger, Iowa City; and Michelle Cauwels, East Moline. He has 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
