Florence Newkirk Birthday
Relatives and friends are invited to attend from 2 to 5 p.m. at Silvis United Methodist Church, 1301 2nd Ave., Silvis. Florence Daniels was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Trenton, Mo. She married Glenn Newkirk on Aug. 11, 1939, in Trenton. He is deceased. Her children are Melinda (Allen) Reamy, Hampton; and Gary (Kathy) Newkirk, Andalusia. She has five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was employed in time-keeping at the East Moline Correctional Center, retiring March 1982. She previously was employed by the East Moline State Hospital.
