Loretta Carlson, Belleview, Fla., formerly of Port Byron, is visiting family and friends in celebration of her 80th birthday. An open house is planned for Oct. 31 at the home of Charlotte and Joe Findley, 1620 N. High St., Port Byron, beginning at 6 p.m. All who know Loretta are invited to stop in and wish her a "Happy Birthday," or send a birthday wish to the address above. Please, no gifts.

Loretta was born Oct. 29, 1929, in Morehouse, Mo. She was employed at General Electric, Morrison; Lucianna's, Rapids City; and The Viking Club, Moline.

Her children are Ruth Ann (Steve) Baughn, Colona; Charlotte (Joe) Findley, Port Byron; and Peggy (Tom) Fiems, Cordova. She has six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
