Esther Karben Birthday
Relatives and friends are invited to attend from 4 to 6 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 3801 7th St., East Moline. No gifts, please, just your presence. A family celebration will be held at our annual Greek dinner. Esther Sansale was born Nov. 10, 1919, in Moline. She married Sam Karben, East Moline, June 5, 1938, at Greek Orthodox Church, East Moline. He died Jan. 21, 1972. Her children are Jim and Cheryl Karben, East Moline; Frank and Carolyn Karben, Ridgefield, Wash.; and Barb and Tim Carr, Port Byron. She has six living grandchildren and one deceased. She has seven great-grandchildren. She was employed at Millard Agency at John Deere, retiring in 1984, and was a seamstress, retiring in 2005. She is a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
