BISHOP HILL ANNOUNCES A "GATHERING OF AUTHORS"

CAMBRIDGE, Ill. (September 21, 2009) – Suspense is building as VagnHall Galleri in Bishop Hill prepares for the third annual "Gathering of Authors." This event has brought some of the biggest writers in the Midwest to the small Utopian village on the prairie. This year"s event continues that tradition as we welcome New York Times Best Selling author J. A. Konrath, author of the Jack Daniels mystery series and the psychological horror novel Afraid to VagnHall Galleri.

Konrath will be joined by Mistress of the Macabre, Sylvia Shultz, author of the horror romance novels Dream Watcher, Timeless Embrace and Horus.

New to Bishop Hill this year is Marc Wilson, author of one of the most important stories of World War II, Hero Street, USA, the story of eight soldiers from Silvis, Illinois, who gave their lives in battle in World War II.

Join us October 24-25 from noon to five as writers talk about their books and their craft, good and bad. Saturday afternoon will be a special event as Konrath, Monica Morris, author of Rory"s Song, and Tom Steele, author of The Pided Piper of Sweden conducts a seminar on character development.

On Sunday, host David Youngquist, author of Ghosts of Interstate 80 and Ghosts of the Illinois Canal System will conduct a seminar with psychic and paranormal researcher Kelly Meagher on researching ghostly activity across the state.

Bring the family to meet children"s books authors and illustrators. Writers will be on hand to meet their fans and sign copies of their books, on sale the day of the event at VagnHall Galleri, 203 Bishop Hill Street. No admission charge, so come out for a great day in Bishop Hill.
