Davenport Area Community Foundation Announces Officers

Davenport, Iowa - At its first meeting on September 3, 2009, the Davenport Community Foundation elected its Board of Directors for its inaugural year.

Hap Volz was elected Chairperson of the Davenport Community Foundation. Volz, recently retired as a Trust Officer for Wells Fargo Private Client Services.

Jerri Leinen Moeller was elected as Vice Chairperson of the Foundation Board.

Moeller is the co-founder and served as past president of the Center for Active Seniors, Inc. (CASI).

Steve Schalk was elected as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board. Schalk is an attorney in Davenport.

Additional members of the eleven member Davenport Community Foundation Board include; Ken Croken, vice president for corporate communications and marketing for Genesis Health System; Kory Darnall, long time community activist; Gloria Fisher, founder and executive director of Davenport"s Senior Voice; Kelli Grubbs, Chief Financial Officer for Victory Enterprises, Inc.; Lisa Herrig, Division Manager for John Deere Human Resources Process Integration in the company's Construction and Forestry Division; Sharon Meister, Director of Homecare and Hospice at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton IA.; Edward Rogalski, retired President of St. Ambrose University; and Michael Vondran, President/CEO of TAG Communications/The Ad Group in Davenport.

The goal of the Davenport Community Foundation is to encourage voluntary gifts, contributions, bequests and endowments to benefit programs and projects that improve the quality of life for residents of Davenport.
