Dealership"s 50th Anniversary Kickoff Celebration Thompson Family RV L.C., a family owned and operated Recreational Vehicle Dealership based in Davenport, Iowa announces the kickoff of their 50th Year Anniversary Celebration. Thompson"s, whose third generation of family siblings (Ann Thorndyke, Jill Tappendorf, Mark, Tim and Brad Thompson ) own and operate the dealership of 45 employees, have just opened up their 22,000 square foot expansion of the dealership last September. Mark Thompson, President of the company explains "Our family has the vision to grow our company stronger and more dominate in our marketplace with the foundational strengths that have kept us a stable force in an industry that has endured many cyclical upturns and downturns. There is nothing but good old fashion hard work and integrity of our company"s commitment to do what is right and fair, regardless of the circumstances that have helped Thompson"s to prosper and grow." Located in Davenport, the dealership has over 17 acres developed for the sales, service and storage of their customer"s recreational needs. Based under one 55,000 square foot building with 20 full size service bays, a cross draft paint booth, a 7000 square foot parts and accessory store and 3 inside showrooms for RV"s, the Thompsons are positioned to grow their market share into the future. "What I believe it takes to be successful in this Industry for 50 years" Mark Thompson states, "is to train and invest in your people, consistently build your customers trust in your company and have business partners with the same values. Anyone can sell these products with today"s technology, but the long term implications of having a foundational backing to take care of the retail customer after the sale, lets itself to a long business cycle." In 2003, Thompson Family RV L.C. was awarded Jayco Inc. first ever Founder Award. The award is presented to a Jayco dealer whose ownership and management consistently reflect a dedication to outstanding sales and customer support, and which most embodies the spirit of the founders of Jayco. Thompson Family RV is still today much honored to be the first recepiant of Jayco"s highest honor. Thompson Family RV 50th Anniversary Open House is scheduled for April 23, 24 and 25th, 2009.
