    Elizabeth Ann Schaum Dunn, 75, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at her daughter's home in Pennsylvania after a valiant battle against lung cancer.

    Memorial services are being planned for April at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb, Ill. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Liz's name can be made to the St. Paul's Catholic Church Building Fund, 309 W. Jackson St., Macomb, IL 61455 or to a charity of your choice.

    Elizabeth, also known as Betty Ann and Liz, was born and raised in Rock Island. She was the daughter of the late Ethel and Henry Schaum. She graduated from Rock Island High School. She met and married David Dunn when both were students at Western Illinois University. They were married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rock Island. They resided in Macomb while the children were at home and then moved to Industry, Ill., for 10 years. They retired to Mesa, Ariz., in 2003.

    Elizabeth was dedicated to her family and friends. She served at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Macomb as a parish council president, RCIA sponsor and on numerous committees at church and school. She enjoyed staying busy and creative over the years as a sales person, bank clerk, dog groomer, billing clerk, sign painter and was a master at knitting, crocheting and wood carving. The role of wife and mother was that which she cherished the most.

    She is survived by her husband, David James Dunn; children, Maureen Morin, Mindy McNeal, Patrick Dunn, Matt Dunn and DJ Dunn; grandchildren, Nick Morin, Tyler McNeal, Jon Morin, Alex Morin and Sam Morin; great-granddaughter, Isla Bree Morin; sister, Rosemary Smillie; and many nieces and nephews.

    William W. Tyler, 91, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.

    Michael Mahieu

    Michael A. Mahieu, 41, of Moline, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008.

    Services are 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation is 2-7 p.m. Friday at Rafferty Funeral Home, Moline, where further arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to an educational fund for his children.

    Linda Wadsager

    Linda J. Wadsager, 65, Silvis, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

    Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. At Linda's request, after visitation, her body will be cremated and inurnment will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wesling Park East Mausoleum, Indianapolis, Ind. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the athletic department at United Township High School or to the All Animal Aid Humane Society.

    Linda Bolmer was born May 29, 1942, in Indianapolis. She was a loving and devoted daughter to her parents, Herman and Cora Solbrig Bolmer. Linda dedicated herself to ensuring the highest quality of life for her mother, who had been in failing health for many years prior to her passing in December of 2007.

    Linda positively impacted the lives of many through her 34 years of teaching and 20 years of coaching at United Township High School.

    Linda was a true and faithful friend who consistently went out of her way for others, bringing a generosity of spirit and a wicked good sense of humor to everything she did.

    An active member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, she played in the Hand Bell Choir and enjoyed Sunday services.

    Linda was an animal lover and "Mom" to her many "critters" over the years. She made the best chocolate chip cookie -- you can ask anybody.

    Survivors include her brother, Herman J. Bolmer, Fostoria, Ohio; a niece, Heather Bolmer, and a nephew, Eric Bolmer, both of Houston, Texas.

    H. Imogene Gillespie

    Helen Imogene Gillespie, 79, of Coal Valley, formerly of Colona, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.

    Private burial will be in Coal Valley Cemetery. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, is assiting the family. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

    The former Helen Imogene Sweeney was born June 16, 1928, in Nashville, Tenn., the daughter of Bernice Holmes and Martha Clara (Climer) Sweeney. She married James Daniel Gillespie in Georgia. He died in 1974.

    She worked at the Malco Window and Door Company.

    Imogene is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Kenneth Teeter, Coal Valley; four grandchildren, including Tammy and Jack Eades, Colona, and Tom and Lisa Hurr, Davenport; and two brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by a son, James Leonard Gillespie; two sisters; and one brother.

    Douglas Lee Harrington, 45, of Dixon, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at his residence.

    Larry Imler

    Larry H. Imler, 64, of New Boston, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth.

    Services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Aledo. Visitation is 1 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Larry Imler Memorial Fund.

    Larry was born March 1, 1944, in Peoria, Ill., the son of Harold and Dorothy Snedeker Imler. He married Carol Lemon in 1964 in Pekin, Ill. He married Wanda Howlett. He later married Julia Collett in 1985 in New Boston.

    He was a mechanic throughout Mercer County. He enjoyed NASCAR, his family and friends.

    Survivors (and spouses) include his wife, Julia; mother, Dorothy Imler; daughters, Shelly Imler, Aledo, Kelly Jo (Brian) Preston, Taylor Ridge, and Karla Imler; eight stepchildren; three brothers, Terry (Tracey) Imler, Viola, Danny Imler, Galesburg, and Tim Imler, New Boston; four grandchildren, Jolee, Jared and Jenna Preston, and Dylan Posateri; 14 stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

    Thomas LaDue

    Thomas A. LaDue, 86, of Sherrard, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.

    Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Orion. Memorials may be made to the Sherrard Fire and Ambulance Department.

    Tom was born Oct. 1, 1921, in Tarkio, Mo., to Samuel P. and Lily Harris LaDue. He married Margaret "Ellen" Allen on Jan. 8, 1948, in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on Aug. 24, 2000.

    Tom was a bus driver for the Sherrard School District. Tom also was a meat cutter at Tindall's Royal Blue in Sherrard and also the bar manager for Don's Tap in Sherrard.

    Tom was a World War II Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of the VFW Orion Post 143. He also volunteered on the Sherrard Fire Department. He was a former member of the Eagles, Matherville, and former member of the Masonic Lodge in Preemption. He enjoyed reading, watching TV and drinking a few "short" Buds with his friends. He loved to spend time with family and friends.

    He is survived by daughters, Jane Koob, Rock Island, Ann LaDue, Sherrard, Ruth LaDue, Sherrard, Phyllis LaDue, Sherrard; sons, David (Nancy) LaDue, Sherrard, Jason LaDue, Boulder, Colo.; grandchildren, Marcy, Barb, T.J., Dena, Nicholas, Sarah and Joe; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Neecie Larsen. He was preceded in death by his wife; son, William; daughter, Julie LaDue; and his brother, Barney.

    Sandra Garrett Themanson

    Sandra S. Garrett Themanson, 58, formerly Kewanee, died March 4, 2008, at Central Dupage Hospital, Winfield, Ill.

    Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran, Kewanee. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Rux, Kewaee. Burial is in Pleasant View Cemetery.

    She was born Jan. 11, 1950, in Kewanee, to Ronald L. and Ann Garrett. She married John Themanson on Aug. 7, 1977.

    Surviving are her husband; daughters, Lauren and Anna; brother, Lary Garrett, Elmwood, Ill.

    Richard Webb Sr.

    Richard E. Webb Sr., 73, of Atkinson, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.

    Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Family Funeral Services, Colona. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. Place of final rest will be in Dayton Cemetery, Colona.

    He was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Hooppole, to Wilbur and Gertrude Gehn Webb. He married Judy Shelby on April 15, 1983, in Green Rock. She died Jan. 1, 1995.

    He retired in 1987 as a millwright from John Deere Foundry after 28 years of service.

    Richard enjoyed fishing and camping and attending auctions.

    Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Brian Sullivan, Prophetstown; son, Richard E. Webb Jr., Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren, Megan Sletten, Nicholas Sletten, Aaron Sullivan, Rachel Sullivan, Seth Sullivan; sisters, Dorothy Cunningham, Mesa, Ariz., Reeda Basala, Matherville, and Barbara Dickerson, Orion; brothers, John Webb, Colona, Charles Webb, Geneseo. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Stropes.

    Evelyn Alter

    Evelyn L. Alter, 90, of Davenport, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the Kahl Home, Davenport.

    Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Temple Emanuel, Davenport. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. to services at the temple. Burial is in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Davenport. Arrangements are by Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport.

    She was born in 1917, to Herbert and Carrie Scharff. She married Meyer Alter on April 21, 1937. He died May 9, 1987.

    Surviving are daughters, Nancy Alter Rudnick, Davenport, Jane Alter Pick, New Franken, Wis.; sons, Harry S. Alter, Bettendorf, Dr. John Alter, Bristol, Ind.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Madelyn S. Gottlieb, Davenport.

    Elaine Sikorski

    Elaine Barbara Sikorski, 65, of Davenport, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, in Davenport, after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer.

    A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Long Grove. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, March 9, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Long Grove. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice or to Gilda's Club.

    Elaine was born June 5, 1942, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Lesley and Dorothy Lepczynski. She was united in marriage to Ron Sikorski on July 6, 1963, in Buffalo.

    Elaine worked as a nurse for Davenport Osteopathic Hospital for many years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

    Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 44 years, Ron, Davenport; sons, Mark (Kim) Sikorski, Andalusia, Paul (Deb) Sikorski, Eldridge; grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, David, Lindsey, Jacob, Megan; great-granddaughter, Grace Marie Bohnert; sisters, Diane (Marty) Stawicki, Buffalo, Pat (Paul) Mann, Elma, N.Y.; brother, David (Kathy) Lee, Alden, N.Y.; brother-in-law, David (Kash) Sikorski and their sons, Matt and Nate, LaCrescenta, Calif.; nieces and nephews, Jason Mann, Jill Mann, Scott Stawicki, Heather Lee, Justin Lee and Ryan Lee. Her parents preceded her in death.
