Cheesy Broccoli Almondine

2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen chopped broccoli
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup almonds, toasted
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1 can Durkee french fried onions
2 tablespoons butter

Cook broccoli according to package directions and drain. Toast almonds in oven at 400 degrees for 5 to 7
minutes.
To the broccoli, add soup, mayonnaise, almonds, onions and 1 cup of the cheese. Mix well.
Pour into greased 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and french fried onions. Dot with
butter. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until hot.
